If I was a student I would be unhappy about colleges knowing what I do on Facebook/twitter. But if I was a professor or teacher I would be very happy. I think that it is a good system because it's a good way to see if they telling the truth about the person they really are. Say a student tells a college all the good things about them, a college can now see if he's telling the truth about all these nice things by seeing what he does, says and thinks about on Facebook/twitter.

I think that it's a good idea that collges are surfing the web to look at applicants. For students however it is in a way not a thing to be happy about because there are thousands of students that have things on the web that they do not want teachers nor colleges seeing. But if I was a college professor running a top of the line university I would love to do that.
